Re-Use in Action. Delivering Sustainable Design through Collaboration

Re-use in Action. Delivering Sustainable Design through Collaboration. At Foroma, we don’t just talk about the current industry buzz around re-use — we actively apply it to everything we do. The recent completion of two floors for PwC’s new regional headquarters perfectly captures this mindset. What stood out most during the conversion of a highly designed Cat A space into a performance-led, design-driven Cat B solution was the absolute necessity for the supply chain to work hand-in-hand with the client’s professional team. Close collaboration with Iain Casagranda, Ryan Woodhouse, and Christelle Parmentier was key to maximising the use of existing Cat A design elements while still meeting Cat B performance and aesthetic expectations. The project was delivered in under fourteen weeks and included: • Large 3-metre pendants integrated with acoustic boards and mesh ceilings • Low-glare, high-efficiency linear and suspended can fittings • Bespoke integration across multi-metal, acoustic, and gypsum finishes, designed collaboratively with the professional team. Crucially, Cat A fittings that became surplus to the Cat B design were removed from site and successfully relocated to the next scheme, which we are currently delivering. This is sustainability in its truest form — thoughtful reuse, collaborative delivery, and real outcomes rather than empty statements. A further update on the scheme currently under installation will follow on completion.
