NESO — Curves that connect the space
A flowing line of light brings a distinctive character to NESO’s new workplace. Against exposed ceilings and the straight edges of meeting rooms, the curved fittings introduce a softer geometry and create a visual connection between spaces.
The National Energy System Operator’s new offices span two floors in the heart of the city. Working with ADP Consultants, Spacelab architects and Overbury contractors, Foroma delivered a lighting scheme combining curved stretch fabric lights, Zava pendants and technical products from LAMP, including OCULT.
In the corridors and meeting rooms, the stretch fabric lights make illumination part of the architecture. Their continuous curves draw the eye through the interior, while Zava pendants add another decorative element to the scheme.
Alongside these feature fittings, OCULT brings a compact linear downlight into the lighting mix. Its optical design combines an optic with a secondary reflector to help control glare, giving visual comfort a place alongside the scheme’s more expressive forms.
The completed workplace shows how different lighting forms can work together: some create a focal point, while others support the everyday use of the space.

Ocult is a linear downlight family with reduced dimensions, different finishes, lengths and lighting outputs (400 to 2200lm).
All models have two installation options: recessed with Trim or recessed trimless. It is made of an extruded aluminium body that integrates LED, optics and secondary reflector, made of polycarbonate.
It is available in different colour temperatures 3000K and 4000K; and beam angles (medium flood and wide flood).
The body of the Trim model it is available in two different finishes (textured black and white) and secondary reflectors in (copper-plated, silver-plated, textured black and textured white).
The optical design is composed by an optic and a secondary reflector with a textured black finishing for a better glare rating and visual comfort result.
